Many people use harsh cleansers that strip the skin of important oils. C2 recommends using an oil cleanser that’s right for your skin type. (Don’t know your skin type? That’s okay, find out what your skin type is here.) We highly recommend not using regular soaps to cleanse your face.
Dead skin cells accumulate on your body each day and can give your face a dull, uneven complexion. Brighten up your skin with a smoothing exfoliator that doesn’t contain plastic microbeads. We prefer using powder-like facial scrubs made from natural ingredients like oats, rice and almonds.
- Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Don’t forget to carry your reusable water bottle with you!
- Avoid caffeine and alcohol, which are dehydrating (or replace them with decaffeinated hot tea)
- Take in extra fluids like coconut water when you feel hot, unwell, or stressed, or when you plan to exercise
Sunlight is important because it helps your body produce valuable vitamin D. With that said, your body needs about only 10 minutes of sunlight each day. Like anything in excess, too much sunlight can be harmful. To minimize sun damage, we suggest using a 30 SPF mineral sunblock with zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide.
