Dry Brushing 101

What is Dry Brushing?

Dry brushing is a technique that removes dead skin cells, improves blood flow, and promotes lymph age. Studies show helps the lymphatic system purge toxins from the body. Some experts claim dry brushing can also reduce bloating, fat deposits and saggy skin. Of course, dry brushing isn’t as effective without a proper weight loss plan.

How do you dry brush?

All you need is a dry, natural-bristled brush – no water is needed. Simply brush your skin, starting at your feet and brushing lightly in small movements up towards your heart along your body’s natural lymphatic flows. Your skin should be a bit pink from stroking, but not too red or sensitive. C2 recommends dry brushing at least once a week, before a warm bath or shower. To help flush out accumulated toxins, have a cold glass of water before you begin dry brushing. Be sure to follow up with a body oil to get that sexy, all over glow! Your skin will be so smooth to the touch – your body can thank us later!
